Pakistani National Shaukat Aftab Wins Dh15 Million in Abu Dhabi Big Ticket Draw

Abu Dhabi: Pakistani national Shaukat Aftab has become the latest Big Ticket millionaire after winning a life-changing Dh15 million grand prize in the Series 290 live draw held in Abu Dhabi. 

The winning ticket, No. 245556, was selected during the live draw on September 3. Aftab was contacted by Big Ticket representatives while he was in Pakistan and initially struggled to believe the news. 

Winner Initially Thought the Call Was Unbelievable

According to reports, Aftab had purchased his winning ticket on August 4. When the hosts contacted him to announce the result, he was initially confused before realising that he had secured the Dh15 million jackpot. 

The 64-year-old businessman later said he was extremely happy with the win and grateful for the opportunity. He plans to invest the prize money carefully and use part of it to help others. 

Aftab also indicated that he intends to continue participating in future draws.

Land Rover Defender Also Won

The Series 290 event produced several other winners.

Ravindranathan Vinesh, an Indian expatriate living in Dubai, won a Land Rover Defender through the Dream Car series with ticket number 035787. 

Five participants also received Dh100,000 each during the draw:

•    Mullapulli Praveen Babu – India 
•    Mohammed Rafiquil Islam Ahmed Meah Talukder – Bangladesh 
•    Sandeepkumar Nanera – India 

More Cash Prizes Through Big Spin

The live event also featured Big Spin winners, with participants receiving prizes ranging from Dh50,000 to Dh500,000.

Jinkie Sandoval, a Filipina living in Dubai, won Dh50,000, while Bangladeshi national Mohammed Kamal Hossan, who resides in Oman, received Dh500,000. Another participant from India living in Sharjah won Dh150,000. 

Next Grand Prize Set at Dh20 Million

Following the conclusion of Series 290, Big Ticket’s next promotion is set to offer an even larger Dh20 million grand prize.

Upcoming vehicle prizes are also expected to include a Nissan Patrol and a Range Rover Velar in separate draws. 

For Shaukat Aftab, however, Series 290 will be remembered as the moment an ordinary ticket turned into an extraordinary Dh15 million windfall.
